This past weekend Chris and Carrie McHattie (facilitated by and with great help from the McHattie Law Firm team) hosted a fundraiser for The Springboard Foundation’s scholarships for full-time college/university students who have documented disabilities of any type. Chris is an active board member and he and Carrie were excited to conceptualize and host the foundations first fundraiser – a whisky tasting contest pitting American whiskeys against European whiskeys. It was the second annual whiskey tasting (last year it was Ireland vs Scotland). There were 12 whiskey brands to be tasted and participants were asked to guess based on tasting and bottling notes which brand of whiskey they were drinking. Thank you to those of you who were able to join in the fun for a “neat” night and for donating to this great cause. We’re extremely pleased to announce that a sizable amount of money was raised on the night, some of which to be matched by corporate sponsors, all of which will go towards making exceptional students dreams of higher education possible.
