By investing a minimum of $800,000 in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or $1,050,000 elsewhere, and creating at least 10 full-time jobs, the EB-5 can provide a path to permanent residency for you and your family.

"Corporate Transparency Act Enforcement Blocked: What Now?

" and the December 23, 2024 news about the Fifth Circuit Court lifting this injunction, reinstating the January 1, 2025, deadline, but FinCEN extended the deadline to January 13, 2025.

On December 26, 2024, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit 

 a nationwide preliminary injunction against the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). This decision, again, temporarily halts the requirement for businesses to file beneficial ownership information (BOI) reports with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). As a result, although beneficial ownership information (“BOI”) reports may be filed with FinCEN, they are not required to be filed pending further court order. 

Given the ongoing legal proceedings and potential for further changes, businesses should:

: Monitor updates from FinCEN and legal advisories regarding the status of the CTA and any changes to reporting requirements.

: Continue gathering necessary information to complete BOI reports. This preparation ensures readiness to comply promptly if the injunction is lifted or new deadlines are established.

: Seek advice to understand the implications of these developments on your specific circumstances and to ensure compliance with any future requirements. We will continue to monitor the status of this case, as well as any subsequent legal and administration developments.
